Welcome to The Egret’s Nest, newly renovated in 2026 and set between the river and the ocean: calm South River water on one side, a quiet neighborhood at your back door, a short walk to the beach via private streets — no crowds.

The marsh faces west, putting sunset center stage. Watch the sun drop over the wetlands from the private rear deck as egrets and herons work the river’s edge — then wake to the same quiet, open view with no rear neighbors.

On breezy summer afternoons, open the sunroom to the marsh air. When thunderheads roll across the wetlands, the room becomes storm theater: front-row seats from the dry side of the glass. After dark, settle in for a cozy movie night in the sunroom.

Two full baths. Ductless mini-split heat pumps with AC in every room keep the home comfortable in every season, and utilities are included. Curbside street parking only — no driveway. No smoking on the property; non-smokers preferred.

The house sits between the South River marsh and the Atlantic, where the sunset faces west over the wetlands. We built our stays around that setting: bright, comfortable rooms inside; sunsets, sea air, and quiet beaches just outside.

House Rules

Check-in & check-out

  • Check-in from 3:00 PM. Check-out by 11:00 AM.
  • Early check-in or late check-out by prior arrangement only.

Occupancy & gatherings

  • Maximum 7 overnight guests.
  • No large parties or events.

Smoking

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house.

Linens & essentials

  • Fresh linens and towels are provided for every stay.

Check-out procedure

The $200 cleaning fee covers a standard departure clean. Before leaving, please:

  • Load and start the dishwasher
  • Place used towels in the upstairs tub
  • Put all trash in the designated outdoor bins
  • Return any moved furniture to its original place
  • Turn off lights, appliances, and heat/AC
  • Close windows and lock doors

Damages & security deposit

  • Guests are financially responsible for any damage to the property, furniture, or appliances caused by them or their guests, excluding normal wear and tear.
  • A $750 refundable security deposit applies to every booking.
